Round 3
Round 3 is on the books, and the racing was great. The Lites Championship has tightened up with only 2 points separating the top 3. Jeremy was able to extend his lead in the Supercross class, while many Supercross Championship contenders had to prove themselves by coming through the pack this week. Lets jump right into the Photo Recap!
#2 seed Marlon took the easy win in Lites West Heat 1 this week. Marlon led every lap in route to the win, and really made it look easy out there.
Much of the same for heat 2, as Mikey led every lap to the win in Heat 2. Mikey was on a mission to prove he is a title contender this week, taking #1 seed again, and winning his heat for a great start to the night.
To say Supercross Heat 1 was staked, would be an understatement.
Jones took the heat 1 victory, and was feeling really comfortable out there, as shown by this first lap backflip.
Siemenlinko proved his round 1 victory was no fluke with this impressive heat win. Interesting to note that Siemenlinko rode a honda at round 1, a yamaha at round 2, and shown here, on a KTM 450 for round 3...what will he ride next week?
dxb rider ddmx took the Lites West LCQ win, and was looking great going into the main. Unfortunately he was a "no show" for the main event.
With the Supercross class as staked as it is, we saw some really high caliber riders in the LCQ this week. DJD grabbed himself a 3rd place start and patiently made his way to the lead. This was his pass for the lead, as Bornhorst crashed into a lapper in the berm, while DJD made a smart inside line to take the lead, and the win.
One of the biggest holeshots in MXS history...
JB Media (#48) with the MotoSport Holeshot award by a large margin!
Mikey made the Pass on JB on the 2nd lap of the race, and never looked back.
Last weeks winner Stockys had some issues in the Main event tonight, but made the best of it with a 3rd place to keep his points lead going into round 4
Kaio Miranda back up in the mix with a second place finish. He didn't have anything for Mikey tonight, but gained valuable points, sitting tied for 2nd in the points.
MotoOption RaceTech Yamaha rider Mikey took his first win of the season and jumped into 2nd place in the championship standings. Mikey dominated the night and left the competition worried heading into round 4.
raceFACTORY Honda Rider Markham narrowly took the MotoSport Holeshot Award this week, so he will be recieving a 5$ gift card to MotoOption soon.
The Roost was out of control this week, and being buried in the pack meant low visibility.
Defending Champion Shackattack, Jones, and Siemenlinko all found themselves way back in the opening laps. They all spent time outside the top 15, and all finished inside the top 10, with Siemenlinko making it all the way up to a 5th place finish.
MotoSport Honda rider, and current Points leader Jeremy stretched his lead out some, with his great ride from 9th to 3rd, rounding out the podium.
Limited Decal rider Hegge was 13th on lap 1, and moved up into 2nd position by the end. Hegge proved he has the speed to be up front, he just needs to start there.
Barry Motorsports Honda rider MxTysen had a very boring race out front, leading 17 of 20 laps in the main event on his way to a win, by margin of 51 seconds. Tysen would lap everyone except the podium finishers. Tysen's dominant performance bumped him up into 2nd place in the standings, just above siemenlinko
Check out the Pass of the Race made by Siemenlinko on the final lap to take 5th place. This Quad triple is insane!

Penalties
Unfortuantely rF felt it necessary to dish out a penalty this week after a Protest was sent in. The altercation
between Juan (#95) and Jones (#2) had race altering effects and possibly championship altering effects. This video can
further explain. Racing aggressive, and bumping/blocking/some takeouts is fine, but at a certain point we need to draw a line, and that line would be when a rider starts sacraficing himself
to ruin someone elses race, repeatedly, and very forcefully. Juan has been given a DQ for R3 and will be on Probation for the remainder of SX.
Let that be a lesson to everyone, ride respectfully out on the track, and don't let your rage take control.
